The Hamburg Media School Foundation: Not the companies themselves, rather the personalities behind these companies, have shaped the impressive profile of the Hamburg Media School.

In June 2002 a total of ten companies created the “Association for the Foundation and Promotion of the Hamburg Media School”. With an initial membership contribution of 25,000 Euros as well as an annual membership fee of 1,500 Euros, they have created a basis for the Hamburg Media School. Since then the number of companies actively supporting the interdisciplinary arts and media campus has been doubled. The conversion of the Friends’ and Supporters’ Association into the Hamburg Media School Foundation in November 2006 not only underlines the institution’s road to success, but also enables long-term sustainability, security, and greater flexibility in project funding through the accumulated stock.
