TIDE was created in April of 2004. It is made possible by the Hamburg Media School. This station is dedicated to the education of children, youth, students, and citizens about the media; interactive exchange; the development of new television and radio formats; and the intercultural connection of different parts of the city.

Programming is broadcasted daily between 4:00 PM and 12:00 AM on the channel Kabelplatz 21 in Hamburg’s TIDE 96.0 cable network. This channel is available from Monday to Saturday, 24 hours, on UKW 96.0, and on Hamburg cable at 95.45 MHz

The TIDE Academy offers those interested in the media the opportunity to gain knowledge and experience of the use of audiovisual media for low rates.
