The Master of Arts in Journalism, located in Germany’s media capital Hamburg, prepares journalists of tomorrow for the challenges of a demanding and ever-changing profession.

The program is designed for prospective journalists who have already attained a university degree. It is aimed at students already experienced in a journalism-related field, who wish to extend their knowledge and acquire the qualification to become successful journalists.
This joint program by the Institute for Journalism and Communication at the University of Hamburg and the Hamburg Media School awards students the Master of Arts in Journalism. The degree is recognised through cooperation with the University of Hamburg and qualifies students to pursue a doctoral degree.
