The Hamburg Media School has developed quality standards for the Master study course in Journalism that are applied to all other programs as well.

Apart from its excellent network of media companies, the Hamburg Media School collaborates closely with academic partners in teaching and research. This cooperation, especially with the University of Hamburg and the Swiss School of Journalism MAZ, is articulated in joint appointment procedures for academic staff, in combined research projects with academics from other fields, work with national and international institutions, and in conference series for young academics from different media-related fields of study.
The Advisory Board for Journalism, run by leading media personalities, constantly assesses the quality and timeliness of the curriculum with expertise and enthusiasm.
