The program enables participants to take on responsible tasks in national and international media companies and organisations in accordance with their own career plans, as flexible, team-oriented, strong-minded and inventive media practitioners.
The four terms of the course have the following focus:
Term 1: Foundations
The first term includes basics of business economics and law, as well as business mathematics, statistics and relevant computational skills.
Term 2: Extension
The second term focuses on the particularities of media markets, enterprises and media products. The emphasis on negotiation, communication, time management and networking will further qualify students in the fields of leadership and social skills, also referred to as management skills.
Term 3: Specialisation
The third term allows for in-depth practical studies using cooperation modules which are offered in collaboration with renowned media education institutions.
Term 4: Application
During the fourth term realistic management scenarios need to be solved using the acquired knowledge. Following this term, students are going to write their Master-thesis.
