A good economist needs a basic understanding of the creative process, and a successful creative artist should be familiar with basic economic principles. Only through this combination can today’s media professionals live up to future expectations and equip themselves for challenges in their working lives.
The curriculum for the MBA in Media Management has been developed around three core modules: “Business Administration & Management Skills”; “Media Business & Production”; and “Context & Values”. These three modules combine business and legal know-how with the conceptualisation and development of a creative project.
The program’s goal is to provide students with a strong practical approach. Hamburg Media School’s faculty is comprised of nationally and internationally recognized professors, as well as CEOs and managers from successful German media companies. Internships and project work help students to build their own networks within the media industry.

The MBA degree is accredited through cooperation with the University of Hamburg and qualifies students to pursue a doctoral degree.
