Josef ist alt und krank. Sein Sohn hat eine junge, polnische Haushälterin engagiert, aber im Telefonat mit Nadja wehrt sich der Alte verbittert gegen jede Hilfe. Er will, dass sie umkehrt. Doch bevor er auflegen kann, wird Josefs Welt aus den Fugen gerissen.

Josef is old and in poor health. His son has hired a young Polish housekeeper, but in a telephone conversation with Nadja the old man bitterly rejects her help. He wants her to turn back. But before he can hang up the phone, his world is turned upside down.
