Als Leni bei einem Einkauf auf eine Gruppe wohlhabender Jugendlicher trifft, beginnt sie sich für ihre Mutter und ihre Lebensumstände zu schämen. Ausgerechnet eine Packung Cornflakes sorgt für eine zärtliche Annäherung zwischen Mutter und Tochter.
The 16-year-old Leni grows up in poor circumstances. While out shopping with her mother, she runs into a group of classmates who are strolling through the supermarket without any financial worries - an encounter that triggers both shame and a painful confrontation with her own reality.
